Additionally, a family orientated community and an educational community for medium term care were established, where parents and educators are working on a positive togetherness of parents and children. These programs aim at the re-integration of the children into their natural families, respectively at supporting the youth on their way into independence. A SOS kindergarten was also erected on the site of the SOS Children's Village Württemberg, offering place for eighteen children and extended business hours as a special service to working parents. Once a week, a "wood and meadow day" is held. Almost regardless of the weather, the children are encouraged to explore the nature under the guidance of their educators. The smallness of the groups allows individual support of every single child.
